Just a touch of Christmas

Yep, I'm already decorating for Christmas!  Just a little touch of it in the kid's rooms.  We keep things fairly simple when it comes to Christmas decorations, but I like for each of my little ones to have a bit of festivity in their rooms!

Yesterday, I started in Braden's room...

I loved Donna's use of the mittens and scarves at Horton's so much, that I decided to do something similar in Braden's room...this cute little blue set was made by my MIL but is now a bit too small for Braden, so it worked perfectly!

I bought this little red wagon at a garage sale probably 5 years ago, and just remembered I had it the other day...boy was it a hit with my 3 year old...let's just say that it doesn't really reside in Braden's room very often :)

And, I bought this cool old stool a few weeks ago at Joy's Shop the Shed sale and traded it out for the bistro chair that was paired up with Braden's desk right away...I love it and so does he!

We will actually start putting our tree up this weekend!  I like to be all done {or at least almost done} decorating for Christmas by Thanksgiving, so then we can just sit back and enjoy it all!!  It is my favorite time of year!

Anyone else started {or finished} their Christmas decorating yet???

Have a great day!

Yes, now that you ask, I am finished decorating. My best friend was visiting a week or so ago and as she is an enthusiastic participant, we got it all done together. My houseful of guys enjoy the fruits or my labors but aren't much for the labor part of getting it all set up. Once the lights are on the tree, the rest is up to me.
I'm with you though. Now, as I go about my day to day stuff, I can enjoy it. Love what you have done so far.

Your Christmas decorations are perfect, Tracey....nicely understated....a girl after my own heart !!
It's funny how we all do things differently, isn't it ? We don't put our tree up until a week before Chhristmas. We always have a real one and the tradition is that we don't put it up early. Traditionally, the tree was bought in on Christmas Eve !! I LOVE Christmas. I can't wait to see the rest of your decorations. XXXX

I haven't started but I am ready. I am having Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday for my family since I am going to Colorado next week to see my other children and grandchildren. Everyone is starting to decorate around here and I can't wait. My dining room table is loaded with Christmas swaps that have to be mailed today or else I am going to have a meltdown. Love your decorations. I have that little wagon and my grandkids play with it constantly.

I'm usually really organized and ahead of the game when it comes to Christmas but today I just suddenly realized how close it is and I'm not prepared at all. I need to pull my finger out with cards as I have to send a lot to the UK and the last posting dates are a lot earlier than here. Thanks for the reminder.

This is too darling Tracey! Now I will say if that was in one of my boys rooms when they were growing up that setting would have lasted about 5 minutes IF that! lol
I have started a teeny tiny bit of decorating. I have never done it this early, but wanted to get my lights outside hung up before the weather turned frigid.
Have a wonderful day!

This is completely inspirational as per usual!

OH! I just happened to notice that my word verification is "blesses"! Well, now, how perfect is that??? A blessing is such a well satisfied joy and happiness. That's what a visit to your blog is. =] (not empty flattery - genuine appreciation!)

Anyway, I've left my comment, here, hoping that it doesn't get lost in the jumble of C&R giveaway comments. I haven't been able to post a blog for almost two months, now. I have been visiting you, though. I just don't remember if I've had a chance to comment. All of this is to say that I'm still here!

Now, this little room is absolutely precious and gorgeous - so are your photos of it - but it makes me laugh and laugh. My sons would have all this dismantled in two seconds! Actually, they love to decorate in their own way. Last December, when we "spring cleaned" their room in anticipation of Christmas, the boys (swept away by the spirit of the season) decked their bunkbed - all with white paper, pencil drawings and tape. They taped together white pieces of paper and drew a fireplace with stockings, mantle, etc. Then, they drew a Christmas tree and taped everything on the wall. Next, they made yards and yards of a white paper chain and strung it around. Why don't I have a picture??? =( I hope that they do it again, this year!

Love to you and yours, Tracey!
